Staff Bios

Eric Hughes, Field Coordinator
e-mail Eric Hughes

Originally from Paonia, Colorado, Eric Hughes now lives in Grand Junction, Co where he has worked for the WCCC since 2007 as a crew leader, education mentor, logistics coordinator and currently field coordinator. Eric attended Mountain College where he completed his degree in sociology in 2007. When not at work Eric is a full time wilderness guru; he enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, hiking and pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors.

Kris Adams, Public Land Volunteer Coordinator

e-mail Kris Adams

Kris Adams hails from the Twins Cities area in Minnesota where she received her B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Kris was an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer for the Western Colorado Conservation Corps before taking the position as Public Lands Volunteer Coordinator for the Corps. When not galvanizing support for her volunteer projects you can find Kris riding her bike, tackling the back-country trails of Western Colorado, or saving/rescuing the smaller and less fortunate creature of the animal kingdom. If not outdoors or petting a kitten Kris likes to snuggle up with a good book.

Eric is a dedicated skier, hiker, outdoor enthusiast and father.
