WCCC has four types of program sessions:

Year-round Crews

The year-round program consists of 6-8 youth, an Education Mentor, and a Crew Leader. This program is 900 hours and operates from January through May and again from the beginning of June through December. In addition to a paid wage youth on the year-round crew earn an AmeriCorps Education Award valued at $2,362.50 to use in advancing their education.

Summer Crews

The second session is 300 hours. The crews consist of 8-10 youth, an Education Mentor, and a Crew Leader. This program runs from the beginning of June through the second week of August. The crews are considered summer crews and have the opportunity to earn an AmeriCorps Education Award, valued at $1,000.00 along with a paid wage.

UrbanCorps Crew

The third program is a shorter summer program split into two one-month sessions. The first session takes place in June and the second in July. Members in this program are part of our UrbanCorps team which consists of 6-8 youth between the ages of 14-15, a Crew Leader, and an Education Mentor.

Energy Crew

The energy crew is unique in that they spend part of their time in the office, and part in the field.  Energy Crew Members work with LEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) to provide lower income households with energy efficient appliances, compact fluorescent light bulbs, programmable thermostats, low-flow shower heads, etc.  They also work to educate individuals and families on the importance of simple energy-saving techniques.
